12/5/2008 1:14:04 PM I purchased this with the intention of using the software, like it says on the package and in the manual, on Linux. After hooking it up and inserting the disc did I realize that it doesn't support Linux. So I didn't use the software that came with it. My second power outage in a month happened last night for 20 minutes. The power pack worked for that time with a series of annoying beeps and began even closer beeps as the power neared it's end in 20 minutes. The power came back up and the downloads I was working through Deluge went back to downloading. That was a plus. I am impressed with this product as I have read numerous reviews and forums on this battery that say it does the job but has such little backup time with all the trinkets hooked up. The device works just fine without the software but if you have outages that last longer that a half hour, pay the money and get a really good one, there's no replacing such valuable info. on your computer! |

Buying Tips
