3/6/2005 6:44:28 PM At first I thought this is a great idea. No wires and it was good looking too. When I took the brand new Belkin TuneBase out of the box, the top part with the LCD panel was so loose where it connected to the metal gooseneck that it kept spinning around and after driving a few miles it doesn't stay in place. I turned it on and tuned to what was an unused frequency, it was horrible. The signal was poor and I had to crank up the volume to get any kind of sound out of it. I tried other frequencies but it was the same. The second thing that I never really thought about was that if you keep your iPod in a case, which most people do, you need to take it out of the case to insert it into the TuneBase. I could live with that if the thing worked great. All I can say is maybe mine was defective or given the benefit of the doubt maybe it was my car radio. BUT my son has the Monster FM charger and I tried that in my car and it worked 100 times better. So I will take this back for a refund. I hope this helps. |
