The Cisco Aironet 1242AG Wireless Access Point delivers the versatility, high capacity, security, and enterprise-class features needed for challenging RF environments. This unit provides local as well as inline power, including support for IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet (PoE). Providing useful radio and network management features, the access point extends the security, scalability, and reliability available in wired networks to the wireless LAN. It delivers simultaneous support of 802.11a and 802.11g standards, with up to a 108-Mbps data rate, and supports 12 non-overlapping channels. The Cisco Aironet 1242AG Wireless Access Point fully supports the capabilities of today's dual-band WLAN clients while providing backward compatibility with legacy 802.11b clients. This indispensible accessory adheres to the most stringent security standards in the industry and is part of the award-winning Cisco Wireless Security Suite. WPA and WPA2 are the Wi-Fi Alliance certifications for interoperable, standards-based WLAN security. IEEE 802.1X authentication helps to ensure that only authorized users are allowed on the network. Buying Tips
- Confirm all merchandise and price information with the vendor, including the model (whether it is a US or non-US model), the condition of the product (whether it is new, refurbished or remanufactured), what accessories are included and what the warranty covers.
