10/27/2005 12:48:52 PM I purchased this to replace a Garmin cfQue 1620/ PDA based GPS system. I use my GPS for roadtrips, hiking, fishing, and for finding my car in downtown Dallas. I wanted something portable, with a long lasting rechargeable battery, as well as built-in maps. I did a lot of online research and found that this best suits my needs. The screen is bright, the unit is loaded with features, and it's accurate to within 6 feet of your actual location! I love the "track back" feature. It allows me to select an on screen compass that will lead me to the start of my "bread trail" track points. The only cons that I can think of are that the screen is a little small, but this is also helpful in toting it around versus a larger Magellan or other Garmin unit ... however, not helpful when driving. The screen can be made larger, but you lose the detail on the right side of the screen. The other con is that the unit is just a little slow when scrolling across for maps. I have found that scrolling in a "less detail" setting helps a little. The last con is that Garmin does not include any PC software for loading routes and POI's via PC. I have older Garmin Mapsource software that was compatible, but registering this unit with the older software for my cfQue was like getting into an airport these days! Overall, this unit best suited my needs. I like to drive as well as spend time out doors. Other units my have these features too, but finding them both in the same unit ... the Garmin Quest 2 wins hands down! |

Buying Tips
- Confirm all merchandise and price information with the vendor, including the model (whether it is a US or non-US model), the condition of the product (whether it is new, refurbished or remanufactured), what accessories are included and what the warranty covers.

at the bottom of the browser window. Some browser have a "Safety" tab; selecting "Safety Report" will take you to information about encryption. If you cannot confirm that a website is secure, do not enter any information.
- Keep copies of all transactions including receipts, credit card charges, correspondence, etc. For phone orders, make a note of the merchandise ordered, the price, promised delivery date, and any follow-up conversations. Get the name of the any persons you deal with on the phone.
- If you have a problem with your order or with the merchandise, write a letter to the seller immediately giving all pertinent information. Make sure you keep a copy of this correspondence. Also notify your credit card company.
- If the merchandise is not shipped within 30 days, you generally have the right to a cancel your order and receive a complete refund.
- If you are unable to obtain satisfaction after notifying the seller of your problem, contact the consumer protection agency in the seller's state. And please let us know about it at PriceSCAN.com.
