There has been just a few instance where the directions did not come up for me. But I was able to just put in the street name and was able to find where I needed to go. I have had mine for over a year and will not go any where without it. Great value for the money. Very easy to use. The only problem that I have had with mine is I left it in my car and it got hot from the heat and made it work very slow. I would highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a gps.
