I used this computer for a good 4-5 months, and then it started shutting down, completely randomly! It would shutdown within 20 mins, or it would last as long as 2-3 hours.
Now being rather angry about this issue, I decided to contact Gateway, which in return, they said it was my fault that I installed Windows 7 and I needed to do a system restore so I could send it to gateway to get it fixed (it was still under warrenty). I tried looking for a system restore... no go, I couldn't find it. I got somewhat pissed so I looked on the internet to see if I could find any clue on where the system restore was, still no luck... HOWEVER, I did run into some rather interesting reviews on the computer
It seems I am not the only person to have this is issue with this computer, about 75% of the users who bought it reported problems with it shutting down randomly (which I figured out, it was because of heat). Many people also said "DO NOT BUY THIS COMPUTER" and "BEWARE" ect...
Bottom line, it runs great... when it works. My suggestion is add another fan to it and it will be fine.
