Sad IN NY
7/14/2006 2:21:39 PM I hate to rate this poorly. It is really a very nice unit. There is 1 VERY BAD quirk that it has that made me return mine. It often has the wrong "town" for an address. It lists MANY streets under a "township" or City. I tried to find Yankee Stadium under the Bronx. Forget it, it's under New York, NY I tried to find a friends house in Somerset, NJ. According to this thing Margaret Dr does not exist in Somerset. I asked my buddy what township he lives in, after explaining WTF I meant, he said ok, try this, ok try that. After the 3rd try - I found it under "Franklin TWP" (Franklin Township). Addresses on Long Island, NY have the same problem. My office is in Bethpage, NY. Easily found on any online map site, Google, Mapquest,Mapsonus. On Roadmate, it's "Stewart Ave", "Oyster Bay, Town of". To most people Township is just who supplies drinking water or picks up garbage. The fact that you can't find an address by 'mailing address' is sad. Besides that, ,cough. it works awesome. Big bright screen, easy to operate. If it wasn't so annoying, I would not have returned it. |

Buying Tips
- Confirm all merchandise and price information with the vendor, including the model (whether it is a US or non-US model), the condition of the product (whether it is new, refurbished or remanufactured), what accessories are included and what the warranty covers.

- If you have a problem with your order or with the merchandise, write a letter to the seller immediately giving all pertinent information. Make sure you keep a copy of this correspondence. Also notify your credit card company.
- If the merchandise is not shipped within 30 days, you generally have the right to a cancel your order and receive a complete refund.
- If you are unable to obtain satisfaction after notifying the seller of your problem, contact the consumer protection agency in the seller's state. And please let us know about it at PriceSCAN.com.
