At the heart of the ultimate high-definition home theater system is the Pioneer Elite VSX-23TXH receiver. As entertainment options expand, the Elite VSX-23TXH is equipped with Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio decoding, Pioneer’s exclusive MCACC room calibration, and an abundance of connectivity solutions for high-definition as well as standard-definition sources including Blu-ray Disc players, DVD players, game consoles, cable or satellite boxes and more. This receiver is the perfect hub for managing it all.As HDMI has become the new high-definition cable connection of choice, HDMI is susceptible to digital transmission errors known as “jitter.” Jitter is caused by timing errors in the digital bit-stream between two connected components and can cause audibly noticeable problems sonically expressed by a lack of detail, depth, imaging, and ultimately a natural sound-field. The VSX-23TXH is the entry point for Pioneer’s exclusive PQLS-Multi technology that can solve these problems when coupled with a PQLS-Multi equipped Pioneer Blu-Ray Disc player (BDP-23FD). By using the 2-way HDMI CEC communication capabilities of the HDMI spec, Pioneer Elite PQLS components “talk to each other” and “speed synchronize” the digital clocks between them using the receiver’s Precision Quartz Lock System (PQLS) to buffer and synchronize the digital audio signals, effectively removing the effects of jitter for a clear, pristine, natural sounding digital transfer. PQLS-Multi removes the effects of jitter with 2-channel CD playback and now from multi-channel DVD and Blu-Ray Disc soundtracks.
The VSX-23TXH doesn’t stop at precision A/V processing. Connect a Pioneer Elite Blu-ray Disc player to any of the five available HDMI inputs to watch the latest Blu-ray movie in stunning 1080p/24fps high definition. Or use the convenient front HDMI input to watch the family video captured on your HDMI equipped camcorder. Listen to your favorite songs on your iPod or iPhone by taking advantage of the front USB input and included cable. One of the first receivers to be Works with iPhone certified, you can enjoy your favorite playlist in your home theater or watch video on the big screen. The Elite VSX-23TXH is also both XM and SIRIUS Satellite Radio ready*. Navigating all these devices and content is a breeze with the new graphical user interface (GUI) and on-screen album art. Buying Tips
