2/10/2008 1:52:18 PM This TV has the best Picture of HDTV's that I've seen so far (feb2008) and I think its the best looking too, although my SXRD has those speakers that extend out from the Monitor I LIKE That LOOK. It makes the TV look even wider. BUT I scored it lower than my heart tells me because; 1) the lamp goes bad sooner than you'd think, and this creates an lemon-yellow tint on the display (although 1080 content is so richly displayed that you forget about it during those program).. 2)The "over-the-air" tuner SUCKZ!!.. 3) You have to cycle through your inputs to get to the source you want, instead of the option to select the source... 4) PIP only shows one HD source!! I hate when manufactures choose to cut corners or out right cheat the consumer when they actually have a near perfect product to be developed. If not for the LCos technology, and elegant design, this TV would be straight garbage. This monitor does have deep options to tweek, to create any image preference you have. At the end of the Day the display of the SXRD beats 99% of the rest of the field with its wide viewing angles, good sound, brightness and shear HD clarity. Buying a service plan with all HDTV is a great idea, so think twice if your not into getting those plans. I like going into the Stores and seeing that even after a year or more, I still have maybe the top HD picutre around. The SXRD (LCos) technology offers the BEST PICTURE QUALITY, and that is the whole concept of HDTV...This Technology should be supported, I give it a 10! I give the manufacture a 7... So I do Love my SXRD, faults and all, it is the BEST HDTV. Happy Valentines Day SXRD. |

Buying Tips
