Combining great portability, generous battery life and modern style in a slim, eco-smart package, the Toshiba Satellite M505-S4947 is sized to travel while providing powerful computing resources for all of your needs--work, learning and play. The 14-inch LED-backlit display offers TruBrite technology for optimal image clarity and a 1366 x 768 resolution for extra desktop working space and a widescreen aspect ratio for watching letterboxed DVDs--as well as native 720p high-definition resolution for watching downloaded HD movies and TV shows. This M505 laptop comes with a 12-cell rechargeable battery, which provides up to 8 hours of battery life on the go (twice that of a normal 6-cell battery)--enabling you to go farther and do more on a single charge. Thanks to the built-in webcam and Toshiba Face Recognition software on this machine, you'll enjoy a more convenient way to communicate, log on or share your laptop among the family. Other high-tech features include a power-saving Eco Button to help reduce power consumption based on your needs, USB Sleep-and-Charge port, a hard drive impact sensor that protects your data, and a dual-layer DVDRW drive that burns CDs and offers LabelFlash print functionality. Buying Tips
