9/18/2008 11:19:02 PM I just bought this fan, it has a very elegant design, but did not read the instructions of what light source was used, I hope Home Depot Monterrey accept it for a change. Lighting is so poor! My room looks so dark! I loved the quiet fan! |

8/11/2008 5:31:28 PM As stated before, the LED light kit is a joke. BUT I plan to replace the (9) LEDs with Cree or Luxeon 3 watt LEDs. At 3 watts, a single Cree puts out almost 228 lumens. The input to the LED board in this fan is 24 volts. Each individual LED is about 9 vdc @ 3 amps. So will need to step it down a little to 3.7 vdc @ 1 amp and heatsinks will be required. It's totally doable and Hampton Bay should release a replacement LED board ASAP! |

8/10/2008 2:04:47 PM We purchased this fan yesterday and installed it in our bedroom. It's a very nice looking fan, but when we turned on the light, we were very dissapointed. The light output is that of a night light. I really want to keep the fan, but I may return it if I can't find a different light source. |

8/5/2008 10:23:12 PM We bought this fan for our kitchen based on its looks (it looks very high-end). We finally got it installed, hit the switch . . . fan worked great! The light, not so much. We thought for sure it had some sort of dimmer - wrong. The LEDs that are included with this fan are unacceptable. Some have compared it to a night light; it's a bit brighter than that but not much. I have an email in to the company, but I'm not getting my hopes up. What is really disappointing is that this is a beautiful fan otherwise. |

7/9/2008 12:50:01 AM Once again the fan works well but who thought that an LED light would be enough to light a room. Poor planning on the company's part I hope they put out a new replacement light kit or I don't know anyone who would keep this fan. |

6/13/2008 11:37:29 PM I love the look and quiet operation of the fan, but the light is pretty much non existent. Thought there was something wrong with it, but came to find out it really is that dim. |

5/7/2008 10:51:37 PM LED although energy efficient is very very dimm ... pretty much need a 2nd light for the room. Remote (optional) only works for light ... not fan. |

3/10/2008 8:41:56 PM fan works fine. But LED light kit outputs VERY low wattage (like a night light). Since it can't be dimmed (LED) I will ask the company for a replacement light kit with higher output. If not available back it goes to the store. |

11/30/2007 2:56:46 PM The LED light on this fan is so dim, it might as well not even have a light. That is the only downside to this fan. |
