PriceSCAN Press Release
PriceSCAN Vice President of Financial Products Daniel Fehder commented that after a decline of 7% from January through the end of March, the AMD Quad-Core index has been appreciating throughout Q2 2009. From April through May, the AMD Quad-Core Index has shown a 5% increase.
Jeff Trester, PriceSCAN Co-CEO and Chief Economist, noted, “That the advanced chips of AMD’s Quad-Core line have recovered much of their sharp first quarter price decline speaks to a firming of demand strong enough to put some floor under processor pricing, and perhaps to allay some fears of deflation in the consumer technology sector.”
