2.98% Increase for Wireless Router 802.11g Router Index
PriceSCAN Vice President of Financial Products Daniel Fehder commented that our Wireless Router 802.11g Index increased 2.98% last week after reaching a nadir at 95.42 on 2/24/2009.
Jeff Trester, PriceSCAN Co-CEO and Chief Economist, noted, “Wireless routers are a way to leverage existing computers in the home, and thus a firming in their price may reflect demand by cash-strapped consumers for an inexpensive way to enhance “cocooning”. In addition, routers would be part of the build-out of internet infrastructure called for in the recently passed fiscal stimulus package, which should provide some support to this market.”
